What Happens After I Finish Driver’s Ed?
Completing driver’s education is a major milestone—but what comes next? Here’s a clear breakdown of what to expect after you’ve finished your CrashCourse program.
We Notify the DMV
Within 7 business days of program completion, CrashCourse submits your Driver Education Completion Certificate (MV3192) directly to the Wisconsin DMV electronically. You don't need to mail anything in or drop it off—we handle it for you.
Once your completion is submitted, it will be visible to DMV staff during your road test appointment. Be sure to schedule your test after you're eligible.
Confirm Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and have held your permit for a minimum of 6 months. If you meet those requirements and have completed your driving lessons, you’re eligible to test.
You can schedule your road test online through the Wisconsin DMV. Be sure to bring your permit, a properly insured vehicle, and a parent or guardian if you're under 18.
Vehicle for the Road Test
Our FastTrack™ program includes use of a CrashCourse vehicle for your road test. Classic and Advantage students must provide their own vehicle or add-on this option for an additional fee.
